Watching LoftyTV on More Than One TV: How Connections Work

One of the most common questions we get: “Can I watch on the living room TV and the bedroom TV at the same time?” Yes. It depends on how many connections your plan includes.

What a connection is

A connection is one stream playing at one time. You can install LoftyTV on as many devices as you like. The limit is how many of them are playing at the same moment. If you have a 1-device plan and someone starts watching in the bedroom while the living room TV is on, one of those streams will stop.

How to tell how many you need

Count the number of screens that are regularly on at the same time, not the number of TVs in the house. Think about game nights, kids watching in another room, or someone streaming on a phone while traveling. Each of those counts.

What it costs

LoftyTV offers 1, 2, or 3 simultaneous connections. Each extra screen is a flat $5 a month, on any term. On a 12-month plan, that works out to:

  • 1 device: $119.00
  • 2 devices: $179.00
  • 3 devices: $239.00

Plans run 3, 6, 12, or 24 months, and longer terms cost less per month. The 24-month single-device plan works out to $8.29 a month, compared with $15 on the month-to-month plan. See all options on our pricing section.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving a stream running. A TV that was switched off while the app was still playing can keep using a connection for a while. Exit the app before you turn the TV off.
  • Sharing a login outside your home. A relative watching on your account uses one of your connections, and you’ll be the one who gets cut off.
  • Forgetting travel. Watching on a phone at a hotel while someone at home is watching counts as two.
